Wreath laying Ceremony

Each New Year's day Wicklow lifeboat with family and friends onboard launch for a Remembrance Service in the bay and lay wreath's at sea in memory of past member's and Wicklow sailors lost at sea.

Guests onboard the all weather lifeboat were the President and Deputy President of the Maritime Institute of Ireland, Michael Prior and CoI. Michael Moriarty , who donated a wreath on behalf of the Institute .
Fr McDonnell and Canon Clarke conduct the service , to honor those who have died at sea , this year there was particular focus on the events in South East Asia .
After prayers the lifeboat crew laid the wreaths in the bay remembering past crew and sailors from the town.
